WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
· All the students can learn.
· Learning is a long term process.
· Each student has a different learning process.
· The learning of one student is effective when his/her own learning process is identified and known.
· The student will trust himself when he experiences the success of his processes, from now on, he will spread his learning.
· Individual work face to face is essential for those students that need support and guidance during the learning process.
OUR FOCUS AND LABOR
Study groups is in favor of the differentiated work, which is focused on the individual student’s needs, designing and doing not only group activities but also individual. The sessions are done during and after school with a frequency of two or three sessions per week as minimum, they are divided into reviewing activities, practicing for the standardized exams and differentiated work; thus, the academic focus is oriented to the constant practice of study skills and learning strategies.
COLLABORATIVE TEACHING
Study groups is only during the sessions after school but also there is support in the classes within the regular school schedule, this is known as co-teaching. The co-teaching is done with the subject teacher in order to get into an agreement in the schedule, the activities coming, the methodology according to the students’ needs and with a teamwork where there is a time to share all this informationin order to help the student's performance. The support teacher gives support to the whole class and he’s different from a tutor because he/she is working together to contribute the student's development.
